What are your challenges in product delivery?

I have been at IndiaNIC for more than 15 years. We cater to all services for start-ups, small businesses, and enterprises. We help start-ups of all sizes, irrespective of their stages, to nurture, build, and grow their amazing ideas on mobile and the web. We help Small businesses take their business online, reach other markets, and maximize opportunities. We augment our strong history of working with thousands of ideas to build a unique enterprise solution with a rich user experience.

We ought to deliver a quality product on time and within budget. Some of the hurdles we face are,

  1. Unclear and random requirements
  2. Unclear targets and a diverse approach to goals
  3. No proper estimation and planning
  4. Slippage in deliveries
  5. Poor clarity in resource allocation and their utilization
  6. Degrading product quality

How did you find a way out of your problems?

IndiaNIC has a fleet of 700 employees working on more than 600 projects. The challenge is to address our clients needs with fast deliverables and make the progress transparent to them. The answer to this chaos is Agile methodology. Now the question arises: how do I find a tool that adheres to agile? We researched the market for different tools. Quickscrum is one that is user friendly and takes less time to train the team.

Client requirements are delivered in Sprints based on story grooming and task prioritization. The product’s important saleable features are delivered in the first iteration itself. They need not wait to market the product until the end of the project. Customer feedback improves the quality of the product.

Following features of Quickscrum actually helped us in short term as well as long term goals:

Product Backlog

was of assistance in maintaining the stories in a common place for the whole team. It lists the prioritized work items derived from the road map and its requirements.

Sprint Backlog

It tracks all the activities required to complete the committed entries from the Scrum Product Backlog. This helps in planning the activities execution.

Resource Workload

shows the ratio of work that has been assigned to team members for the sprint. This brings clarity to resource allocation and utilization.

Sprint Review Meeting

where the team demonstrates the increment to the Product Owner and the stakeholders. The Product Owner accepts the user stories that have been done based on the acceptance criteria. And prioritize the review for the next sprint. This helps in achieving product quality.

Release Planning

reflects expectations about which features will be implemented and when they are completed. It serves as a basis for monitoring progress within the project.
