Sprint Burndown

A Sprint Burndown Chart shows the amount of work remaining in a sprint. It helps you to track how much work remains in a sprint backlog, understand how quickly your team has completed tasks, and predict when your team will achieve the goal or goals of the sprint. Learn more here.

X Axis – shows sprint days of the active sprint.

Y Axis – shows total efforts burned within a sprint (in hours).

1. An ideal line represents the expected progress (Ideal Remaining Hours).

2. A real or actual line exhibiting the current progress (Actual Remaining Hours).

By tracking the remaining work throughout the Sprint, a team can manage its progress and respond accordingly.
